BioNot Matt was born in 1809, the son of a wealthy textile worker and a penniless diplomat. While on a hunting trip in western Massachussets he invented the steam engine, but Watts knifed him and took the prototype to the patent office. Somehow he made it back to civilization, crawling his way down the mountains, but his strength left him just outside Boston. A passing mad scientist recovered the body and rebuilt him, better, faster, stronger. Not Matt escaped and became a part-time vampire. That didn't work out, so he became a planetary scientist. His attempts at writing fiction are largely limited to this biography.
